Funky Grooves

Funky Grooves contains 456 drum loops arranged in 80, 90 and 100 BPM tempos, and have been arranged and orchestrated with no use of actual quantizing, but were designed by hand, including all hit offsets and humanization. No type of randomization was used whatsoever. All content has been edited to make sure both start and end points end on zero-crossing to avoid any and all clicks, pops and unwanted artifacts. The loops are split up between kit-specific loops (291), “no-kick” style loops (165), and “mixed” process loops (45). No processing has been applied, except for saturation, which was provided courtesy of our own MixControl Pro mixing plug-in, which provides a sound that is just as authentic as other big name companies’ “fat” and “warm” processing plug-ins, or even hardware.

Funky Grooves also contains 300 individual drum hits, which were used to create the loops you hear in the demo sounds below. Additionally, the package includes 20 MIDI templates used to create the loops, 15 SFZ drum kit maps which coincide with the kit loops, and an entire Ableton Live (8.2+) pack, filled with MIDI clips and all 15 instrument racks filled with the samples in Funky Grooves. The individual hits were also treated to the same saturation technique as the loops, and are categorized as follows:
