Old Skool Guitars is a unique new sound library designed to assist in the production of old school hip-hop, underground and fusion styles of music. The library contains 399 licks, loops, cuts and samples for a total of 261MB after decompression. The sounds contained in this library have NOT been treated with care! We’ve maintained a lot of finger scratches, scrapes and other noises associated with playing the guitar in hopes of creating a funky package of guitar recordings.

Product Layout

The library is split between loops, samples and “building blocks”. The loops were recorded @ 80 and 90 bpm and are organized into original, sliced and gated styles while the samples are divided into chord, note, noise and phrase categories, and have been specifically included to use as cutting, slicing and blending material. The “building blocks” are packs of samples which are labeled with the tempo and length and vary between 2-, 1- and half-bar increments. Each package is based on a particular set of loops within the originals, and also contains a “chops” folder in each package to allow users to select and rebuild loops in their own way, as a tool to inspire musical creativity.

Developer Licensing

Old Skool Guitars is also available for sound library developers to use in commercial sound libraries by purchasing the developer license option. This option allows sound designers or development firms to use the included audio data as source material in their own commercial product releases. The developer version also contains over 300MB of original, uncut recordings. These are provided to assist developers who need long portions of audio data for soundscape creation in software such as Kontakt, Alchemy or any one of the granular/sound-shaping packages available currently. Pricing / Availability

The regular user license can be purchased for $19 USD and the developer license (see above) can be purchased for $39 USD. New users will get a login and password e-mailed to them within 45 minutes of purchase, and returning customers can login using their existing credentials.
