About Us

DNR Collaborative Designs is a media solutions company organized in 2007 by reason lahalla and Nicholas Horn in order to release samples and synthesizer patches. At that time, there were just one or two soundsets available on the original website. In 2008, the two had produced a nice lineup of smaller soundsets and sample packs, but had not pushed further due to time constraints and obligations. Moving forward through 2009, designing sounds had become a full-time involvement, which allowed the two the time to organize and develop software ideas.

The ‘collaborative design team’ concept was an idea that reason was tinkering with and had even publicized to some degree with mixed results. The concept was simple – to build on the ideas of interdependency, where “two heads are better than one”. The original plan was to build a network of designers, developers, producers and artists who could work together on ideas and concepts, all taking part of the process and building revenue streams one at a time, to create a self-sustaining organization.

Now in 2011, DNR Collaborative has taken shape in a smaller, more manageable fashion. On June 8th, 2010 we became a completely family run organization, when reason lahalla sold DNR Collaborative to his father in order to acquire funding for small software projects and assist in customer support.
