Product Releases
How the product approval process works

If you have a product that you are interested in creating and releasing as a TeamDNR product, there are a few steps you need to complete:

  • Contact Us and propose your product idea. Generally this is just so that we can be informed of possible future releases, and so that we can offer assistance if necessary.
  • Prepare your product in the most professional manner possible, as fully as you can. We can help with things like demo compositions, graphic design and documentation in order to allow you to focus on the product.
  • Upload your product to the FTP login you receive as a TeamDNR member and we will review the product thoroughly and respond within 24 hours of upload. We will go through the product and inspect any issues that we think may need attention.
  • Once the product is approved, the press release and press kit will be written and the promotions will begin shortly. We tend to have a product fully released and supported within 48 hours of approval.

Product Preparations
Making sure your product is ready to release

We have tried very hard to build a catalog of high quality, professional products so that our customers always know they can come back and get something just as high quality as they did on the previous visit. This means that there are certain criteria that we must hold against any product submitted to release approval. Before submitting your product, keep a few things in mind when preparing it:

  • Always make sure your samples and loops are seamlessly looped, leaving no click or artifacts behind (unless it is intended)
  • Keep volume levels consistent, making sure that absolutely no clipping is occuring anywhere in your waveforms or synthesizer patches
  • Map samples properly across the keys, trying to abstain from odd or incomplete mappings. Keep an eye on bass patches in particular
  • Make sure you apply performance modifications where possible to give the user a "live-capable" package
  • Design all proper documentation (readme, manual, tips and tricks, etc) and include it with your product
  • Make sure your demos display the maximum potential of your product. This is a most under-rated necessity
  • All media such as audio and video demos should also be packaged along with your product

Once your product is packaged and uploaded to our servers, we will prepare to release it by writing press releases and contacting news outlet organizations to publish the press release. We also try to maintain promotions on a few forums, most notably KVR Audio, where our company forum is also located.
